2012 Goals

29 Dec

I don’t ever make New Years resolutions. Of course, I have things I should/could improve on, but I figure if I’m going to improve on something, it’s kind of a personal matter that doesn’t have to be announced or written on a list.

Now goals on the other hand, are something I enjoy. Those, too, are kind of personal to me as well, but last year I did announce my goals to my family and on my dailymile page. I wanted to run a 5k and a 10k.

So I ran my first 5k in February (30:34), another on Thanksgiving (26:30), and my first 10k in December (50:24).

So I feel pretty good about my goals for 2012.

My goals for 2013 are to run a half-marathon and a marathon. I signed up for the Canyonlands Half in Moab, Ut in March (so excited), and I am trying to decide when I will be ready for a full.

I am excited to reach my goals for 2013!

  1. Your 2013 goals are very exciting! I think you signing up for the half may be my motivation to sign up for a full marathon in the Spring. I hope that come January I will be able to buckle down and train hard! Guess that’s what NY resolutions are for 🙂

Sounds like 2013 is going to be exciting for you too! I can’t believe how fast the year has gone by! Good luck with your marathon training 😀 .
